To the women of Crown Heights North who are the backbone of this community. Every day I am in awe of their strength and their dignity. They preserver through hard times, grief, loss and worry. Not only do they preserver, they triumph.
Crown Heights Proud is an original, one of a kind piece using found objects and various materials. The face is a casting of an original sculpt I did about 10 years ago. The bird nest, of course, represents home. She is approximately 7" high without her wood block base.
