Lady of the North- One of my favorite periods in art is the Northern Renaissance. I fell in love with those beautiful 3/4 portraits of men and women leaning on a balcony or a window sill and looking at us so mysteriously down the years. The watch piece looked like someone turned to the side and I built her from there. She holds an antique chesspiece ( a castle) in a purple nest made out of antique French metal threads.
